Recent Work
Pitched, reported, wrote, shot, and edited short-form video packages tailored for television news covering general and political stories. Also went live from the field as a reporter, produced live and taped segments in and out of the control room, and anchored the weekly afternoon show for Columbia’s CJS News and CSUN’s Valley View News.
Co-wrote and produced an investigative true-crime podcast episode called "The Butcher of Tompkins Square Park," part of Shoe Leather, season 4, "It's Our F*cking Park." Shoe Leather is published in partnership with Columbia University Libraries.
Daniel Rakowitz would wander around Tompkins Square park holding a Bible and carrying a live rooster. Everyone in the neighborhood knew him, or knew of him. In 1989 - Daniel would go on trial for the brutal and complicated murder of Monika Beerle. Turns out, he'd told people he was going to kill her. So, why didn't anyone listen?
This season, Shoe Leather ranked number 9 on the official Apple podcast charts for History Podcasts.
